FCPA Kuria Kimani, officially received one of Kenya&#8217;s highest civilian honours, the Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (CBS), from the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Moses Masika Wetang&#8217;ula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The award was bestowed upon him by His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto during the last Jamhuri Day Celebrations in recognition of his distinguished and outstanding service to the nation, and he officially received it today at Bunge Towers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hon. FCPA Kuria Kimani is the Chairperson of the powerful National Assembly Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning, the engine house of Kenya&#8217;s economic legislation. A respected financial expert, he has redefined the role of the Finance Committee with sobriety, expertise and patriotism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under his chairmanship, the Committee has championed fiscal discipline, investor confidence and people-centred financial laws. His ability to break down complex financial matters has earned him admiration across the political divide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaker Wetang&#8217;ula lauded him as one of the most diligent and dependable chairpersons whose leadership has brought dignity to Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Molo, Hon. Kuria Kimani is celebrated for his development track record \u2013 from modern classrooms, bursaries to thousands of students, roads, electricity, to empowerment of women, youth and farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CBS is reserved for exemplary service to the nation, and for Hon. Kuria Kimani, it is well-deserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I am deeply honoured to receive the CBS today from Speaker Wetang&#8217;ula.
