These efforts aim to dismantle illicit alcohol and drug networks, strengthen enforcement and protect the public from dangerous, chemical-laced alcoholic drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of these measures, traditional brews that meet the applicable Kenya Standards will be licensed, providing a pathway for compliant producers to operate within the regulatory framework. KEBS has standards for Opaque beers and traditional brews like Changaa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KEBS remains committed to working with relevant agencies to uphold quality and safety standards, promote compliance and safeguard public health.
