Kenya has unveiled a new push to take legal services closer to communities that have long struggled to access justice, following a partnership between Attorney-General Dorcas Agik Oduor<\/strong> and betting firm Bangbet<\/strong> to roll out Mobile Legal Aid Centres across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative, which will be piloted in Machakos County<\/strong> before being expanded to all 47 counties, aims to plug persistent gaps that leave many Kenyans\u2014especially in rural and marginalised areas\u2014unable to seek legal help due to distance, cost or lack of awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A first for Kenya\u2019s justice system<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As Kenya\u2019s first female Attorney-General, Ms Oduor has repeatedly stressed that justice must be felt on the ground\u2014not just written in the Constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her vision for the project is anchored in a simple but powerful principle: that no Kenyan should suffer injustice because legal services are out of reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each mobile centre\u2014modelled from modified containers\u2014comes equipped with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • A legal documentation and advisory area<\/li>\n\n\n\n
