Abdul Haro Kore Intensifies Power Connectivity Efforts in Mandera South<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ELWAK, MANDERA COUNTY \u2014 The office of the Member of Parliament for Mandera South, <em>Hon. Abdul Haro Kore<\/em>, has stepped up efforts to expand access to reliable electricity across the constituency, with teams currently on the ground in Elwak Town replacing ageing wooden poles with durable concrete ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The upgrade marks a major stride in modernising the local power infrastructure and enhancing safety and reliability for residents and businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent months, access to electricity in Mandera South has improved significantly, with <em>Wargadud<\/em> and <em>Shimbir Fatuma<\/em> towns successfully connected and now fully powered\u2014an achievement that has been widely welcomed by the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hon. Haro Kore confirmed that several mini-grid projects are at various stages of implementation across *six off-grid locations, including *<em>Elele, El-Ram, Garsesala, Fincharo, Nyat Alio, and Qalanqalesa<\/em>. These projects aim to ensure that even remote settlements gain access to clean and dependable energy, supporting education, trade, healthcare, and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, plans for <em>Last Mile Connectivity<\/em> are underway in multiple areas within the constituency, with expectations that more households and institutions will soon be connected to the national grid. Power supply in <em>Kotulo<\/em> is also set for a major improvement in the near future, In Sha Allah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hon.
