Martin Kivuva, has called on Christians and all people of goodwill to embrace love, peace and unity during the Christmas season, drawing inspiration from the life and message of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to the media at his Nyali residence in Mombasa, Archbishop Kivuva said Christmas goes beyond commemorating the birth of Christ in Bethlehem and should be a moment for believers to allow Christ to be born anew in their hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, we must also allow Him to be born in our hearts,\u201d he said, urging the faithful to live out the values of love, forgiveness, humility and compassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Archbishop encouraged Kenyans to use the festive season as a time of reconciliation, calling on families, communities and the nation to choose peace over conflict and unity over division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He noted that love remains the greatest gift of Christmas, describing Christ\u2019s coming as a sign of God\u2019s unconditional love for humanity. He challenged believers to reflect that love through acts of kindness, generosity and care for the vulnerable, including the poor, the sick and the marginalised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Archbishop Kivuva also urged citizens to celebrate responsibly and maintain peace and harmony throughout the festive period. He called on Kenyans to pray for the nation and to work together in building a society founded on justice, mutual respect and shared responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTrue Christmas is lived through love in action,\u201d he said, adding that when Christ is born in people\u2019s hearts, families, communities and the nation are transformed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He concluded by wishing all Kenyans a blessed Christmas and a peaceful New Year filled with hope and renewed faith.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mombasa \u2014 December 2025 The Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Mombasa, Most Rev.
