## Dr. Mamo B. Mamo Strengthens Environmental Accountability Through Strategic Collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, Mamo B. Mamo, EBS, paid a courtesy call to the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), where he met Commission Secretary\/CEO Mr. Daniel M. Karomo at his office in Nairobi. The engagement underscored a shared commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration in the resolution of public complaints relating to environmental management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and the Commission on Administrative Justice in addressing environmental concerns raised by members of the public. As the national authority mandated to supervise and coordinate all matters relating to the environment, NEMA continues to receive numerous complaints and incident reports, including those routed through CAJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key areas of discussion included improving response mechanisms for issues such as waste management and noise pollution, with both institutions agreeing on the need for faster, more coordinated, and citizen-centered complaint resolution systems. This partnership is expected to significantly enhance service delivery and ensure more efficient handling of environmental grievances.In attendance were Ms. Florence Mumbi, Director of Complaints, Investigations and Legal Services at CAJ, and Mr. Evans Nyabuto, Deputy Director of Corporate Communication at NEMA, reflecting the technical and collaborative nature of the engagement.Dr. Mamo\u2019s leadership continues to stand out for its proactive, solutions-oriented, and partnership-driven approach.
