MACHUA WAITHAKA’S ROAD AGENDA CONTINUES TO TRANSFORM THINDIGUA

Kiambu Town MP Machua Waithaka is steadily expanding his development footprint in Thindigua, with the extension of the Kasarani–PCEA–Windsor Road marking another significant step in his push to improve road connectivity and infrastructure in the area.

The MP recently inspected the stretch around Feruzzi Tower alongside engineers from the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), where he interacted with residents and assessed the progress of the ongoing works.

The contractor, Ocean Creed Contractors, has already mobilised to site and commenced the project, with groundwork and other preparatory activities currently underway ahead of the tarmacking phase.

For residents, the project represents more than another road construction initiative. It is part of a broader transformation of an area that, according to the MP, had no tarmac road since Independence.

Waithaka says that since assuming office, several roads in Thindigua have been tarmacked, with the latest extension expected to further improve connectivity and open up the area to greater economic activity.

Improved road infrastructure is critical to the growth of rapidly expanding residential and commercial areas such as Thindigua. Better roads make movement easier, reduce travel challenges and enhance access to businesses, homes, schools and other essential services.

The MP has maintained that the development journey may not always move at the pace residents desire, but the focus remains firmly on delivering tangible infrastructure projects across the constituency.

The ongoing works also demonstrate the importance of collaboration between elected leaders, national Government agencies and contractors in translating development plans into projects on the ground.

With KURA engineers involved in monitoring the works, residents can look forward to the eventual completion of the road and the improved connectivity it will bring to Thindigua and its surrounding areas.

For Waithaka, the message is clear: development is a continuous process, and the expansion of the road network will remain a priority until residents receive the infrastructure they deserve.

His rallying call, “Yangu Ni Kazi Tu,” captures the approach he says will continue to define his tenure — focusing on visible projects, steady progress and keeping the promise to the people.

As Thindigua continues to expand, the ongoing road works are yet another indication of the changing face of Kiambu Town, with infrastructure investment increasingly shaping the area’s future.
