TIANJIN, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) — The new immigration inspection facility was officially inaugurated at Tianjin Binhai International Airport on Wednesday. The upgraded area now offers more than double the space of the previous one, with the number of inspection lanes increasing from 17 to 22.
Notably, these include four dedicated lanes for delegates attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, along with eight express channels.
Equipped with advanced technologies such as autonomous patrol robots and integrated smart inspection counters, the new facility has improved overall clearance efficiency by nearly 30 percent.
