The Kenya School of Government (KSG) has taken a significant step in deepening international cooperation following a high-level engagement with a delegation from the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV), led by Mr. Klen Jaarats, CEO of the Centre for International Development, Kenya.
The meeting, held under the distinguished leadership of KSG Director-General, Prof. Nura Mohamed, focused on shaping a clear roadmap for the envisioned impact of the KSG–ESTDEV partnership, with both institutions reaffirming their shared commitment to accelerating public sector transformation in Kenya.
Key areas of collaboration discussed include:
- Enhancing e-governance and digital public service delivery by leveraging Estonia’s globally acclaimed leadership in digital transformation;
- Building critical digital skills across government institutions to improve efficiency and citizen-centred service delivery;
- Fostering innovation and supporting start-up ecosystems, particularly those that advance youth and women’s economic participation;
- Strengthening targeted educational and leadership development programme that empower the next generation of public sector leaders, with a strong focus on inclusion;
- Establishing structured mechanisms for continuous knowledge exchange to ensure sustainability and long-term impact of joint initiatives.
Prof. Nura Mohamed commended the constructive dialogue with Mr. Jaarats and his team, noting that the partnership represents a powerful opportunity to translate global best practices into transformative public service outcomes for Kenya.
“I am confident that this collaboration will act as a strong catalyst for institutional excellence, driving innovation, strengthening capacity, and ensuring that the Kenyan public service is equipped for the future,” said Prof. Mohamed.
KSG continues to cement its position as a premier institution for capacity development, public sector reform, and strategic partnerships that contribute to national progress.
