Hon. Susan Auma Mang’eni, the Principal Secretary for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development, has been ranked third best performing Principal Secretary in Kenya according to the latest Kenya Track Survey, released on January 9, 2026.
The survey shows that PS Mang’eni enjoys an approval rating of 70 per cent, reflecting strong public confidence in her leadership and policy direction within the MSME sector.
Respondents credited PS Mang’eni for her advocacy of tech-driven growth for MSMEs, particularly her efforts to encourage digital adoption and the use of digital service platforms to enhance competitiveness, productivity, and market access for small businesses across the country.
Under her leadership, the MSME docket has increasingly focused on innovation, digitisation, and inclusivity, aligning small and medium enterprises with the evolving digital economy and positioning them as key drivers of job creation and economic resilience.
The Kenya Track survey, conducted between December 28, 2025 and January 7, 2026, involved 2,679 respondents across all 47 counties, assessing Principal Secretaries based on perceived effectiveness, project delivery, accountability, and visibility of impact.
While the findings reflect public perception rather than official audits, the ranking places PS Susan Auma Mang’eni among a select group of senior public officials whose work is resonating positively with Kenyans, underscoring growing expectations for practical results, accountability, and people-centred governance.
