United alternative Government led by Hon.Stephen Kalonzo rejects several proposals

The United Alternative Government led by Wiper party leader Hon.Stephan Kalonzo musyoka has rejected the proposed National Infrastructure Fund Bill 2026.
The team comprising of H.E Rigathi Gachagua,H.E. Eugene Wamalwa, and Hon.Justin Muturi termed the said bill as constitutionally flawed and warned it could become another avenue for unchecked Government spending.
The officials expressed serious concern over plans by the Government to partially sell it’s stake in Safaricom warning that such a move risks compromising national security,critical digital infrastructure and long term public revenue for short-term budget relief.
Addressing the media at the SKM headquarters in Karen,the officials further criticized the conduct of Minister for finance John Mbadi following his sworn admission that he misled parliament regarding the legal status of the Infrastructure Fund.
They felt the statement misled parliament on matters about transparency and accountability in the management of public finances.
They unanimously called for full parliamentary scrutiny,independent reviews and public hearings before any major financial decisions affecting National assets are undertaken.
“We demand an immediate freeze on further sale of state assets until credible ,transparent and lawful processes are established” the statements Concluded.
