
Kacheliba MP Reaffirms Support for Church Development During Mbaru Bible Baptist Church Commissioning
Kacheliba Member of Parliament today joined worshippers at Mbaru Bible Baptist Church in Kiwawa Ward for the commissioning of the church’s new sanctuary, describing the milestone as a testament to the congregation’s growing faith, unity, and commitment to serving the community.
Speaking during the event, the MP said the commissioning marked an important chapter for the church and underscored the vital role faith-based institutions play in promoting social cohesion, moral values, and community development.
Following the service, the legislator participated in a church fundraising drive aimed at supporting key development initiatives, including the purchase of chairs, Bibles, musical instruments, and other essential items to improve worship services and strengthen the church’s ministry.
The MP was accompanied by Kiwawa Ward MCA Hon. Joshua Chumel, Hon. Samuel Areman, Hon. Joseph Ichumar, and other local leaders who joined the congregation in celebrating the occasion and supporting the fundraising efforts.
The legislator noted that investing in places of worship is an investment in stronger and more resilient communities, adding that churches continue to provide spiritual guidance, nurture hope, and promote peace and unity among residents.
