Nairobi, Kenya — The National Land Commission (NLC) Chief Executive Officer, *CHRP Kabale Tache Arero, on Thursday evening joined the County First Ladies Association (CFLA) for the official launch of its *2025–2028 Strategic Plan, alongside the unveiling of a new logo and website. The ceremony brought together national and county leaders in a celebration of women’s leadership and community-driven development.

In her remarks, Ms. Arero commended the County First Ladies for their unwavering commitment to advancing social and economic empowerment across the country. She highlighted the transformative impact of programmes such as H.E. Mama Rachel Ruto’s “Mama Doing Good Kitchen Garden”, which continues to empower women at the grassroots by creating sustainable livelihoods, enhancing food security, and uplifting household incomes.

She also lauded *H.E. Alamitu Guyo, Chair of CFLA and First Lady of Marsabit County, for her leadership through the **Mama Guyo Foundation, particularly the annual *Gaddis Gamme initiative. The programme champions the protection, education, and wellbeing of young girls by actively combating harmful practices such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and early marriages.

“The strategic pillars outlined in the County First Ladies Association’s plan—from economic empowerment and healthcare to education and social affairs—are deeply aligned with the mandate of the National Land Commission,” Ms. Arero noted. “Equitable land governance and fair access to resources are foundational to achieving sustainable development in each of these focus areas. The National Land Commission is committed to walking this journey with the County First Ladies, and we pledge our full support.”

The event was graced by Her Excellency Mama Rachel Ruto, alongside Principal Secretaries, Members of Parliament, County Chief Officers, and development partners, underscoring the national significance of the Association’s agenda.
