Mugweru wins CGWU(K) chairman post

Huge chants of ulululation and Vuvuzela’s chants gripped the air after Samuel Mugweru was elected as the branch chairman of the Nairobi branch county Union workers(CGWU) exercise. The well attended Union elections held at the Nairobi City stadium saw mugweru garner 1,073 votes.Coming second was John Barasa who got 678 and John Gombe Osike came third with 645 votes.The position attracted Six contestants. Stephen Dalangi was elected as the branch vice chairman with 1,625 votes beating second placed Jeremiah Oyongo with 628 while Dennis Ochieng Ngesa got 606 votes. The Newly elected members will occupy their seats with a span of five years. During the eagerly contested exercise,new faces emerged with majority of members being knocked out of the race The full results were as follows- Chairman position-1. Samuel Mugweru-1,0732.
