The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has emerged victorious in all four seats contested during the February 26 by-elections, marking what party leaders have described as a strong endorsement of its leadership and development-focused agenda.
Results announced Thursday night and reaffirmed during a press briefing on Friday confirmed UDA’s dominance, with the party securing the Isiolo South parliamentary seat alongside three ward representative positions across the country.
UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan hailed the outcome as a decisive vote of confidence in the party’s manifesto and governance record.
“The voters have bestowed trust and confidence in UDA and our candidates by voting them into office in a victory that was decisive and resounding,” Hassan said.
Key Victories Across Regions.
In Isiolo South, UDA candidate Tubi Mohamed Tubi captured the parliamentary seat, delivering a significant win for the ruling party in the region.
At the ward level, the party secured additional victories in:
West Kabras — Eliphas Kaianga
Evurore — Duncan Muratia Nyaga
Muminji — Peterson Njeru Njiru
Party officials reported strong voter turnout in the affected areas, noting that residents backed candidates who pledged practical development initiatives and improved service delivery.
A Shift Toward Issue-Based Politics
Hassan further argued that the by-election results reflect a growing shift in Kenya’s political environment, with voters increasingly prioritising policy-driven leadership and measurable development outcomes over traditional political rhetoric.
According to the party, the clean sweep signals continued grassroots support for UDA’s agenda and strengthens its footing ahead of future political contests.
