*Hon. Irene Njoki Mrembo Champions Education Infrastructure Upgrade in Bahati
Investment in basic education remains a critical foundation for the successful delivery of the Competency Based Education curriculum, which calls for modern, safe, and well-equipped learning environments.
It is within this vision that the Government is undertaking a major structural upgrade and facelift of Limuko Primary School—transforming an aging institution into a future-ready centre of learning in Bahati Constituency.
The project, whose groundbreaking took place in March 2025, is now 90% complete. Key components include:
- A modern multipurpose hall
- A new administration block
- Ten newly constructed classrooms
- A septic tank to enhance sanitation and the overall school environment
Once complete, the upgraded facilities will offer a safer, more dignified, and conducive space for both learners and teachers, while strengthening the school’s capacity to effectively implement the Competency Based Education framework.
The project is being implemented by the State Department for Housing and Urban Development, reflecting a coordinated government effort to improve public infrastructure.
Hon. Irene Njoki Mrembo lauded the initiative as a strong demonstration of a “whole-of-government” approach—highlighting how collaboration across sectors is key to delivering impactful development and uplifting communities.
