Esther Passaris Supports Mlango Kubwa Fire Victims as Families Begin Rebuilding
Nairobi Woman Representative Hon Esther Passaris has supported families affected by a devastating fire in Mlango Kubwa, Mathare Constituency, by distributing mattresses to help them begin rebuilding their lives after losing their homes and belongings.
The fire affected approximately 200 households, leaving many families facing the difficult task of starting afresh after losing essential household items and personal possessions.
Passaris said the distribution of mattresses was aimed at providing immediate relief and restoring some measure of dignity and comfort to families as they recover from the tragedy.
“Losing a home and personal belongings to an inferno is devastating,” Passaris said, stressing the importance of standing with affected families during difficult moments.
She said her priority was to support the victims as they navigate the recovery process and work towards rebuilding their lives.
The intervention comes at a critical time for the affected households, many of whom are having to cope with the loss of property and the disruption of their daily lives following the fire.
Passaris said she would remain committed to supporting the affected families as they recover, signalling continued attention to their needs beyond the immediate relief effort.
The fire has once again highlighted the vulnerability of densely populated urban settlements to devastating incidents and the need for timely support when families lose their homes and belongings.
For the affected families in Mlango Kubwa, the mattresses provide an immediate and practical form of assistance as they begin the long process of recovery and rebuilding.
Passaris said she would continue standing with the affected residents during this difficult period.
