John Kiarie Highlights Expansion and Excellence at Dagoretti High School

Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie has highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen learning infrastructure and support holistic development at Dagoretti High School, as the institution responds to a growing student population.

A new dormitory block is currently coming up at the school to address pressure on existing accommodation capacity, partly driven by increased admissions following the introduction of the Competency-Based Education (CBE) Junior High School transition.

Kiarie also engaged this year’s Form Four candidates in a session on “The Architecture of Excellence: Succeeding in Exams and in Life,” encouraging the students to look beyond academic results and develop values and skills that will serve them well beyond school.

The MP further celebrated the school’s strong showing in co-curricular activities, particularly Drama, Sports and the Kenya Science and Engineering Fair (KSEF), where the boys have posted notable performances this year.

The developments reflect a broader focus on creating an environment where learners have the facilities, mentorship and opportunities needed to excel both academically and beyond the classroom.
