Mombasa, Kenya – In a display of unity and support for the East African Community (EAC) Games, Members of Parliament (MPs) boarded the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) to Mombasa, emphasizing the railway’s efficiency and economic significance. During the journey, Kenya Railways Managing Director Mr. Philip Mainga highlighted the SGR as not just a transportation solution but a vital catalyst for economic growth and tourism. “By choosing to travel with us, MPs are showcasing a commitment to supporting national infrastructure,” he stated. Speaker Hon. Mosses Wetangula echoed this sentiment, calling the decision a milestone that enhances economic opportunities and visibility for key transport hubs.
