The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has launched the pilot phase of an upgraded eCitizen Payment System, aimed at enhancing efficiency and improving the overall customer experience. The new system is currently being tested at Nairobi National Park, Nairobi Safari Walk, and Nairobi Animal Orphanage.
As part of this pilot, all tickets issued through the upgraded platform will be honored at the three designated locations. To enhance customer convenience, the system will also provide SMS notifications to confirm successful transactions, ensuring a seamless and reliable payment process.
Since onboarding the eCitizen revenue collection system in August 2023, KWS has significantly improved revenue collection and management across its services. The upgraded system now being tested is designed to further enhance service delivery by reducing transaction processing times and streamlining visitor access.
The initiative reflects KWS’s commitment to leveraging technology for greater efficiency in service delivery while ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for visitors. Upon successful completion of the pilot phase, KWS will provide further updates on the full rollout of the upgraded system.
