The Nairobi Hospital has consistently demonstrated its commitment to delivering world-class healthcare, despite recent speculation surrounding its financial stability. In a joint press conference, the hospital’s leadership reaffirmed its strong financial position, governance reforms, and dedication to providing exceptional patient care.

The hospital’s modernisation programme has been a resounding success, with KSh 1.5 billion invested in state-of-the-art infrastructure upgrades, including six labour and delivery suites, a 256-slice AI-enabled CT scanner, and a new Cardiac Centre featuring East and Central Africa’s first biplane catheterisation laboratory. These strategic investments have expanded clinical capacity, improved patient outcomes, and reinforced the hospital’s leadership in specialised care.

CEO Mr. Felix Osano emphasised the hospital’s prudent financial stewardship, highlighting that the modernisation programme was funded entirely from internally generated revenues, with no loans. “Our commitment to patient-first engagement and quality care remains unwavering,” he said. “We have rescinded the marginal 5% average tariff adjustment implemented in July, and services are now provided at pre-adjustment rates.”

The hospital’s leadership has taken decisive action to address past governance challenges, strengthening accountability and enforcing prudent decision-making. Chairman Dr. Barcley Onyambu assured stakeholders that the current leadership is united in preventing recurrence and ensuring the hospital’s continued success. With court-imposed restrictions lifted, the hospital can now continue its modernisation and reform agenda without hindrance.
