
This week, Dr. Peter Wekesa, Acting Director of National Qualifications, Research and Policy, on behalf of the Director General of KNQA, Dr. Alice Kande, welcomed a delegation from Humber College during a courtesy call. The team was led by Ms. Clarisee Estebar and accompanied by Ms. Laura Barbosa from Humber College, Canada. During the visit, the delegation officially handed over appointment letters to members of the KBEST Steering Committee, of which the KNQA Chief Executive Officer is a member.
Humber College and NorQuest College have partnered with local institutions under the KBEST-14 project, which forms part of the seven-year KBEST program implemented by Colleges and Institutes Canada. The KBEST-14 project focuses on the Recognition of Prior Learning in the Blue Economy. The Kenya National Qualifications Authority serves as the lead agency in Kenya, providing the regulatory framework for education and training.
