The National General Secretary of the Kenya National Private Security Workers Union, *Dr. Isaac GM Andabwa OGWA, today led a major community empowerment initiative in Manyonyi, Lugari Constituency, where he hosted the *Spider Wave Group of Farmers and donated a dairy cow to support their growing agricultural activities.

The gesture, Dr. Andabwa said, is part of his broader commitment to strengthening sustainable agriculture and promoting economic independence across the constituency.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Andabwa announced plans to expand the farmers’ group across Lugari and to establish a structured cattle-keeping support program aimed at uplifting more households and securing long-term livelihoods.

He underscored the importance of adopting modern agricultural technologies, noting that such innovations are essential for improving productivity and ensuring the future of farming in the region.

“Lugari is blessed with fertile soil and favorable weather conditions that can support almost any crop,” Dr. Andabwa stated. “We must embrace agriculture seriously if we want to transform our lives and build a resilient local economy.”

He further urged residents to shift from basic subsistence farming to serious agribusiness, warning that rapid population growth is reducing available land and may lead to congestion and long-term socio-economic challenges if not addressed.

“Land is becoming limited. If we do not act now, overpopulation could turn Lugari into a slum,” he cautioned. “Agribusiness is the pathway to sustainable growth.”

In addition to agricultural development, Dr. Andabwa emphasized the critical role of education in driving community progress.

“An educated society is a developed society,” he said. “We must invest in education to uplift our families and secure a brighter future.”

Dr. Andabwa reaffirmed his commitment to working with local groups, leaders, and residents to build a prosperous, self-reliant Lugari—powered by agriculture, strengthened by knowledge, and united by shared purpose.
