Mwea — The tarmacking of the Kiumbu–Ndindiruku–Marurumo–Kiandegwa Road continues to make steady progress, with construction works currently advancing through the Ndindiruku area toward Marurumo.

The project contractor estimates that the road will be about 90 per cent complete by April next year, marking a major milestone in improving this vital transport corridor.

The road is an important link for movement and trade in the constituency, facilitating easier access for residents, farmers, and traders, and enhancing connectivity across Mwea.

Mwea Member of Parliament Mary Maingi, widely recognized for her dedication and commitment to the community, said she was encouraged by the pace of the works. She assured that all funding required for the project has been fully secured to ensure timely completion.

“Step by step, we are strengthening Mwea’s infrastructure to support growth and development,” said the MP, noting that progress on projects like this reflects her commitment to the welfare of her constituents.
