Affordable Housing Demand Booms As Boma Yangu Signups Hit 1 million
Kenyans registered under the Boma Yangu platform (bomayangu.go.ke) have now surpassed the 1 million mark, underscoring strong and growing interest in the affordable housing projects among Kenyans.
The data from Affordable Housing Board indicate that these projects are attractive due to their prime locations within urban areas, provision of infrastructure such as roads, electricity and water developments, as well as essential public services from schools, markets, healthcare and shopping facilities.
Speaking on the milestone, Housing PS Charles Hinga expressed optimism saying, “one million Kenyans committing to own housing units is not a small feat. Kenyans have outgrown pessimism about AHP and are now saving money for their preferred unit through the government-owned portal, Bomayangu.
