Dr Ezekiel Mutua condemns Gender Violence and appeals for special courses to be set up.

Former Kenya Film classification Board (KFCB) Boss Dr.Ezekiel Mutua has condemned Gender Violence in the country and appealed for women in the country to be given recognition in all spheres of life.


He further appealed for the creation of special courses to deal with issues of gender violence adding that we should provide a conducive environment for everyone to enjoy.


Dr mutua spoke this over the weekend when he presided over the leadership summit for
Top 100 women Gala Dinner held at the Southfield Mall in Nairobi’s Mombasa Road.
The event was attended by top women leaders from various counties including Deputy Governor”s,women group leaders and various Administrators.

The theme of the meeting was “Accelerating women leadership for inclusive growth”.
The glamour event was also marked to celebrate Happy mothers day that was marked with pomp and colour globally.
The Gala event saw several women leaders honored with Awards and certificates for their distinguished services to the country.

He went on to add ,”We need to increase conversation with our families, boardrooms,in the churches,and in turn this will end gender based issues,Even the media will enhance this conversation including the co-operate desk .lets give our women space,lets walk the tight rope where both gender will thrive in a safe environment” Dr.Mutua observed.

In his speech,a jovial Dr mutua said “Lets all rise up on an environment that is safe.When a women succeeds,the society succeeds,lets increase our conversation,I would appeal for the set up of special courses whether mobile or virtual to deal with these gender based violence .”he noted.
