UDA hands Samuel Muchina Nyagah nomination certificate for Ol Kalou by-election.

The ruling party has formally handed Samuel Muchina Nyagah the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) certificate of nomination, clearing him to fly the party’s ticket in the forthcoming Ol Kalou Constituency by-election slated for July 14.The issuance of the certificate follows Mr Nyagah’s victory in the party primaries, with UDA expressing confidence in retaining the seat through an intensified grassroots campaign anchored on the government’s development agenda.

Speaking during the presentation of the certificate, UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan said the party had concluded its internal democratic process and was now shifting focus to mobilising support on the ground.

He said UDA would deploy its political structures in Ol Kalou to popularise Mr Nyagah’s bid, adding that the campaign would be guided by the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), inclusive growth and development initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods.Senator Omar also praised the UDA National Elections Board (NEB) for overseeing what he termed a free, fair and credible nomination process.

According to the party, only one dispute emerged during the nominations and was successfully resolved by the Electoral and Nomination Dispute Resolution Committee (ENDRC) chaired by Adrian Kamotho.
