
Jubilee Party to Field Presidential Candidate in 2027 as It Begins Political Revival

The Jubilee Party has announced plans to field a presidential candidate in the 2027 General Election, signaling its determination to reclaim its position as a major force in Kenya’s political landscape.
The party leadership says it is embarking on a renewal process aimed at strengthening its grassroots networks, re-energising its membership and presenting a credible national agenda ahead of the next elections.
Jubilee officials have maintained that the party remains a national movement with a strong support base across the country and will not shy away from competing for the country’s top seat.
The decision to field a presidential candidate is expected to mark a new chapter for the party, which governed Kenya between 2013 and 2022 and played a central role in shaping the country’s political and economic agenda during its tenure.Party leaders have said Jubilee’s focus will be on offering Kenyans a leadership platform anchored on unity, economic empowerment, job creation, improved public services and inclusive development.
They added that the party will embark on wider consultations with members, supporters and stakeholders as it prepares to select a presidential flag bearer capable of uniting Kenyans and advancing its vision for the country.
The move comes as political parties position themselves ahead of the 2027 polls, with Jubilee seeking to leverage its national reach, experience in government and established party structures.Jubilee leaders have expressed confidence that the party’s renewal agenda will attract new supporters while strengthening its traditional base as it prepares for a competitive electoral contest.
The party has reiterated that its mission remains to champion responsible leadership, national unity and policies that improve the lives of ordinary Kenyans.
